When preparing the AOS G-325A - is one required for both the USC also? Or
just the alien spouse?

Thanks!

An I-485 only requires a G-325A for the applicant.

A visa petition [I-129F/130 requires for both spouses]. Note that for
other than spousal petitions, a visa petition does not require any
G-325's -- e.g. for the step children.

Now when a combined I-130/485 is filed, then the US spouse DOES file the
G-325A, but that is concomitant to the I-130 and not with the I-485.

Hehehe!!! Don't get me started on this one!!! ;)

I went to file my K1 AOS papers in Miami, and she refused because I
hadn't included a G-325a for Corey (USC), or his adit pics and birth
cert. When I went to file again armed with this documentation,
however, another lady who DID file my papers looked puzzled when she
saw his docs.

My advice.........even if you don't think you need it, take one anyway.
Can't hurt, huh?

Kate - I couldn't agree with you more. We took and turned in my (USC)
G-325 when we applied for my husband's AOS in person in Detroit. I'm
not saying they actually needed it, mind you, just that they asked for
it at the time we filed and we turned it over. ;-) Kristin
