Though I am tempted to tell my life story I guess I will just get
right to the questions..forgive me if they sound naive:

1) My husband lost his I94 and now we have to wait a year before we
can even begin to file for Employment Authorization and permission to
travel not to mention adjustment of status. Is there anyway at all to
speed up this process? I have talked to BCIS and they don't seem able
to help at all.

2) Would getting an immigration lawyer help? So far I am trying to do
it all on my own but I suspect I have reached an impasse.

3) Does anyone know of any good immigration lawyers in the Florida
area that may work pro bono? I have called everyone on the list that
INS offers with no success.

Hi:

Are you applying for LPR based upon the marriage? If so, then you need
only provide SOME proof of inspection and admission. The stamp in the
passport will often do the trick. On the questions on the I-94 -- you
put "unknown -- lost" or some such note.

Been there done that. I believe that Catholic Charities has offices
in Florida.
