I picked up an RCA DVR7000 for really cheap...I would like to take out
the small HD and replace it with something bigger.

I've searched all of the web & NGs...cant find anyone who talks about
it.

Has anyone here heard of it being done?

TIA,

Stan.

I had one of these before I switched to a PC based DVR back in 05. IIRC
the drive couldn't be upgraded because it used a set format. That was the
7000N. I'm pretty sure the 7005 could be though. There was a yahoo group
fro it, but it's been so long I don't remember the forum. Found it.

While you can place a larger hard drive in the DVR7000, it will never use or
see more than the 40GB that its firmware is made for. But the newer RCA
model 7005 could take a larger drive.
