Laserdisc buying in Canada

there are any stores that still sell laserdiscs? Do pawn shops such as
Cash Converters sell them, and are there any specialist video stores
that still sell them?
In particular, I'm looking for stores in Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec,
Calgary and Vancouver.

Can't say specifically about Canada, but I've found some of the larger used book stores often have a laserdisc section. When
you get into town, look them up and give a call and ask. You might end up finding some cool treasures!

Ave. (pronounced Spad-EYE-na if you're asking around for directions).
The best selection in town for LDs. You will typically find a
selection of several hundred in stock, ranging from $1.99 to $11.99,
with the majority priced at $3.99-$4.99.
For the sake of completeness, I will say that I know of a third place
to buy LDs in Toronto, but I won't recommend it. If you are stuck for
something to do, and don't mind losing time and perhaps some dignity,
you could go to Vintage Video south of Bloor, west of Bathurst. He
sells DVDs mostly, with a couple of crates of new LDs, still priced at
1990s prices. The owner has a well-documented reputation for rudeness
to customers (do an internet search), which I can personally attest to
from visits I made there in 1998 and 2008. Not much had changed. Visit
at your own risk!

There is a store called Charlie's on Granville Street in Vancouver.
They used to deal in LDs, but I just asked a friend who used to sell
them a lot of his collection, and he is skeptical that they still do
this. I have seen the occasional LD at Value Villages in the Vancouver
area, not in particularly good condition.
