Mmm. Single Malt Scotch (preferably more than 12 years old) is
delightful -- especially with a big, smelly cigar. When it gets
downright cold, I enjoy a wee dram of scotch or some quality cognac
before bed-time.

As for watching DVD's: Action flicks seem to call for a couple beers
and some popcorn.

Cheers,

You may be surprised to know that there are regularly published editions of
things which contain very complex pictures and even TEXT and they are
reproduced at sizes as small as 4"x6". How ever did you get through school

Just because dvd has never been proven to kill anyone, doesn't mean that
it isn't highly addictive and extremely dangerous. You cannot tell me
with a straight face that dvd isn't a gateway into an a life full of
urges to pre-order every title you vaguely like, the feeling that you
must always be on the lookout for a larger TV, upgrading to DTS EX 6.1,
and eventually maybe even building a dedicated hometheatre to suck all
your spare money away and keep you from ever wanting to leave your
house. I say stick with the green gear -its cheaper than the other. ;)

Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall.....
What movies do people prefer to watch in an altered state of mind? Of course
Altered States would be near the top, along with Taxi Driver, A Clockwork
Orange, Dawn of the Dead, 10, Sleeper, Animal House, Rollerball, Airplane, Pulp
Fiction, Resevoir Dogs, The Thing, Alie/Aliens, Gettysburg, Real Genius,
Predator, Terminators, River's Edge, Fearless, Halloween, The Matrix, Point
Break ect...But the number 1 movie to watch under the influence is:
****** 1-----BLUE VELVET*****
That is while drinking 5.9% alcohol Natural Ice Beer, some herbs, and Allen's
101 proof Raging Red cinnamon schnapps....
Throw in Raging Bull, The Right Stuff, Goodfellas, Casino, Coma, and Westworld
to the above list...........P.S......Only serve Raging Red in a glass with ice,
it tastes nauseous when warm.........Dave

I think Lynch at one point said that it was actually oxygen, not nitrous
oxide. It would make sense for 2 reasons: 1. Nitrous oxide is an
anasthetic and could have no sexually stimulating function, exactly the
opposite of oxygen which is the fuel for the blood which drives erection
(apropos to the Frank character who obviously can't get it up without some
kind of strange stimulus), and 2. Usage of nitrous oxide pitches the voice
downward considerably (which gives lie to the notion that Hopper was
actually doing nitrous on set) for several seconds following its inhalation,
an effect not observable in the film but well-known to anyone who does
research on the subject and quite exploitable for a director who's known for
his sound design. But more to the point, I'm fairly sure he just said so,
tho I can't quote a source.

Didn't your mamma teach you not to believe everything you read? Especially
during the information age when any person with a few beans can publish an
article in print or electronically. I can understand the WebTV, that was

Article 427 of 474 in rec.drugs.cannabis
The only true physical health risk with smoking pot: LUNG CANCER
"Chowder" <cl...@chowder.com>
Organization: chowder
Mon Dec 4 2:19 AM
Newsgroups:alt.drugs.pot, rec.drugs.cannabis, sci.med.cannabis
But why does Jack Herer say the opposite?
"Lung Cleaner and Expectorant
Cannabis is the best natural expectorant to clear the human lungs of smog,
dust and the phlegm associated with tobacco use. Marijuana smoke
effectively dilates the airways of the lungs, the bronchi, opening them to
allow more oxygen into the lungs. It is also the best natural dilator of
the tiny airways of the lungs, the bronchial tubes - making cannabis the
best overall bronchial dilator for 80% of the population (the remaining 20%
sometimes show minor negative reactions.) Statistical evidence - showing up
consistently as anomalies in matched populations - indicates that people
who smoke tobacco cigarettes are usually better off and will live longer if
they smoke cannabis moderately, too. Millions of Americans have given up or
avoided smoking tobacco products in favor of cannabis, which is not good
news to the powerful tobacco lobby - Senator Jesse Helms and his cohorts. A
turn-of-the-century grandfather clause in U.S. tobacco law allows 400 to 6,
000 additional chemicals to be added. Additions since then to the average
tobacco cigarette are unknown, and the public in the U.S. has no right to
know what they are! Many joggers and marathon runners feel cannabis use
cleans their lungs, allowing better endurance. The evidence indicates that
cannabis use will probably increase these outlaw American marijuana-users'
lives by about one to two years - yet they may lose their rights, property,
children, state licenses, etc., just for using that safest of substances:
cannabis." http://www.jackherer.com/page14.htm#expectorant

How can anyone make such a broad and shallow generalization that anyone who
sparks up a joint is a loser. With that kind of logic than anyone who has a
couple of egg nogs at a X-Mas party, or a couple of beers watching football is
a drunk, an alcoholic, and a loser...This type of a narrow minded intolerance

The post was about chronic pot smoking. Perhaps you
need to learn the definition of chronic. As in chronic alcohol abuse,
chronic
pot use, etc... I really don;t feel like hearing about
drug abuse in alt.video.dvd....

We can thank the original crossposting loser for that. Go back to

We used to have a baccy farm. You bit off more than you can chew.(I know
it's punny) Baccy crop is rotated once. In other words grow baccy year 1;
year 2 grow rye; year 3 grow baccy; and so on and so on and so on. And

To put less of a strain on your dwindling mind ...

1) Marijuana possesion is against the law (unless you live in one of the few
states where it is legally prescribed to you).
2) I assume you purchase your marijuana (growing your own in quantity is no
misdemeanor) and that the very people you purchase from are destroying
young, still-forming brains peddling their wares.
3) If your soooo right on all your points ... how come you have to do *what
you do* in very private, secluded places? (Pssst See #1)
4) No amount of me educating myself on marijuana is going to change the the
*fact* that 1, 2, and 3 are all *true*.

I hope you get busted with enough on you that its not a slap on the wrist
... I think its the only way you will ever realise how much of your life you

Cannabis isn't a gateway drug though.

it has lots of benefits to non terminal patients.

legalisation of drug traffiking would make the world a better place,

if it were legalized this wouldn't be anywhere near as much of a
problem, look at the example of alcohol.

Is wandering through the middle of Liverpool (a large city in the UK)
on a saturday smoking a big fat cone, doing it in a private secluded
place? because I did that last saturday.
