Toshiba DVD

player, but I went with what I could afford. I purchased the Toshiba
SD-2008, but the only model I hear people talking about in here is the 2108.
Can anyone tell me the difference in these models, what features the 2108
has that mine doesn't? I assume the 2108 has extra features being that it
retails for about $299, where the 2008 cost me $249.

The 2108 is dts capable with a few other features like component video
output, dolby digital 5.1 decoder. Doesn't really mean much unless you
have the right equipment like big screen tv and high tech sound system to
go along with it. The 2008 is exactly the same in every other aspect
though.

The 2108 has a component video output (irrelevant unless you have a TV
with a matching input) and DTS audio output (irrelevant unless you
have a DTS decoder and discs, which are few and far between). The
2008 is otherwise the same.
$249 is a nice price. You'll be happy, unless you could have used the
component output.

Added to the 2108:
DTS output, Component video output. I think the rest is basically the same.

The 3108 has a DD decoder -- not the 2108.
