Question about ConvertX to DVD

Hey folks,
I have been using Convert X DVD to convert AVIs of full length feature
movies for some time now. However, I've run up against a problem with the
four hour version of Greed. I've been through all the settings and features
of convertx do dvd and there are no solutions. I thought there would be
some way to split the movie into two versions. My next idea was to try to
split the AVI with some other program.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem.
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, that's what I'd try.
Load the AVI into Virtualdub and cut into two separate AVI and then use
ConvertX to make two 2-hour DVD's.
