Just tested -- extracted (reauthored) a movie from DVD to hard drive. Worked
just like on older Windowses. However, I have never used DVD Shrink's burn
feature with which you seem to have problems. Instead, I have manually
opened a burning application to write the VIDEO_TS folder created by DVD
Shrink on a DVD.

Problem solved. Scrapped Nero, Scrapped installed DVD Shrink.
However, DID install a version of DVD Shrink that
was setup to use IMG Burn as the backup dvd burner. This WORKED with
Windows 7 without a hitch.

The software is available at http://www.videohelp...ools/DVD_Shrink.

IMG Burn is a free program (donations welcomed) that is compatible
with Windows 7 and easy to use.
Suggest it be tried & used before buying Nero 9 for at least $50.
