I just ripped a movie that was made in the days when dual-layer discs were
very expensive, so this rather long movie was on both sides of the DVD. I
ripped each side as separate files. I'd like to combine both sides into a
single file, so that I can either burn it on a dual-layer DVDR or shrink it
with DVD Shrink and burn it to a single sided DVDR.

I don't know how to combine multiple video files into a single composite
file. Can anyone help me here?

Thanks,

Norm Strong

The first places I would look are; the help sites that host
"Guides" to doing such things. Try:

www.videohelp.com

www.doom9.org

www.afterdawn.com

I believe you can do it with DVDShrink by launching
DVDShrink twice and draging one project into the other,
within re-author. Check through the afterdawn site, they
should have a guide describing the process.

Check out the software DVDRemake
It can combine serveral DVDs and maintains the Menus of each indiviual DVD.

I believe VideoRedo can do this using "Combine" or "Join" functions.
Free trial.

The easiest way is with DVD2One and it will preserve the chapter points,
subtitles and all other settings.

Rip both discs to your hard drive and use it to seamlessly join the two
titlesets.

You can then compress if you wish or burn the combined titleset to dual
layer DVD.

In article <3eSdnX8dKIvDTZXU...@bt.com>,

DVDFab has the same ability.

Yes there are of course numerous ways of doing it with different programs
but none are as easy or as fast as DVD2One though.
