Three years ago, I purchased my first digital TV, a Panasonic 32".
Now it has developed two problems that I don't understand: Do you?

In the lower left corner is a red power light. The light comes on
when I turn on the TV. About twice a month the red light will come on
for about 5 seconds then start to blink. The TV never turns on.
Turning off the TV doesn't cure the problem. Unplugging the TV for a
few seconds solves the problem.

I receive all my TV over-the-air (OTA). For some unexplained reason,
channel 4 audio (RF channel 30) has not worked for a few months.
Video is fine. I receive 12 OTA stations and it only is a problem on
channel 4. I've unplugged many times. I've rescanned. It just
doesn't work. My DVR is not affected and receives channel 4 just fine.

I've seen this once or twice with my 3 year old 32 inch Panasonic ONLY
when I plugged it into an inexpensive APC UPS.
It did not like the output from the UPS. Sounds like your power supply
is on its way out.

Your Tv could be downloading some sort of update?? Does your TV have a built
in TV guide type system?

Marginal reception? Does the DVR get served first?

Video display is flawless. If the reception were marginal, there
would be pixelation and broken audio. There is no audio.

The antenna goes to a 2-way splitter; one to the TV; one to the DVR.

It looks like Panasonic are due for a OTA software update on Nov16.. you
didn't give a model number so it may not be applicable, but maybe worth
trying anyway <http://www.dtg.org.uk/industry/download_schedule.php>
