Cox cable is requiring digital receiver, digital cable or digital TV with
QAM for ITV, Public Access, Government Access channels as of 13 December
2012.
IMHO, nothing of value will be lost for those without those channels for
those without the requirements. ITV is just rerun after rerun of outdated
educational content (i.e., rerunning a segment filmed in 2008). Public
Access is usually obscure speeches when the channel is not running its
non-programming slide show, and I'm not sure how woodworking and cooking
shows qualify as Government Access but in addition to those, I rarely see
any actual government programming beyond occasionally a city's council
meeting.
