Start with Wikipedia as a research point, but don't consider everything
there as immediate fact due to the fact anyone can edit it. Then do
additional research from what may interest you from Wikipedia.

All 4 DTV broadcasting systems (ATSC,DMB,DVB,ISDB) can be
used for Digital HDTV broadcasting.

I would like to know the most from DVB-T2 that said to be used in EU or will
be a European wide standard.

Scott, almost everyone I've seen posting to this forum is from
the U.S., so I'm afraid we might not be able to offer any advice
on where to find a forum about European DTV. For example, the
website www.avsforum.com is very good, but as far as I know,
it only discusses U.S. HDTV. You may need to do a Google search
for "HDTV technical forum <country name>" where "<country name>"
is the one you're interested in.

"In general, DVB-T2 offers around 50% increase in capacity over DVB-T.
DVB-T2 together with MPEG-4 form an advanced system for digital terrestrial
television broadcasting. It is very likely that this combination will be
widely used in the future and it will not be superseded with some even more
advanced technology for years."

i think you are likely to find more info from the european
broadcasting union
http://www.ebu.ch/
a search in their technical papers area may find something useful.

roll your own:

BBC has a research dept that works on "futures" type stuff that may be
relevant
