New ventures Syncbak, Dyle, Mobile500 and Aereo are among
those aiming their mobile digital TV technology at consumers
who want to eliminate or reduce the cost of their cable or
satellite subscriptions.

This would be a good idea of mobile OTA--in the form of live
streaming--provided, it does not have the issues that ATSC does.

But, isn't this just like the concept Qualcomm did, like a Media-Flo
concept?

It seemed from the article, they meant live streaming via subscription
service, but via an app, and the app would be free. In other cases, they
would pay for the antenna, kind of like a satellite TV concept.
Still counts as "subscribing", though.

So I guess, interesting, but it really isn't new.

I suppose if it works better than ATSC does (or rather, the way it did not
work for me), then I would be much more interested in the mobile version.
