Obama selects final FCC member

Meredith Atwell Baker, Republican and former overseer of the converter
coupon program, has been appointed by President Obama to the last
remaining FCC member slot. The FCC is traditionally a bipartisan body of
five, with three members from the majority party and two from the
minority party. It has been limping along with but three members since
the beginning of the current administration.

The news is a bit old, but I expected some of the more vocal Democrats
to bring it up in protest, especially after posting so much about how
they thought the coupon program was mismanaged.

Apparently, they were rendered speechless by the news.
