the new vampires should feel validated by Anne Rice’s new book, “Angel
Time,” out Oct. 27th (Amazon.com: http://xrl.us/AngelTime ). The
latest novel from the author of the “Vampire Chronicles” centers on
Toby O’Dare, a contract killer who gets recruited by angels to travel
back in time and help people.

Rice, who rejoined the Catholic Church in 1998, has left vampires
behind for Christian history and spiritual parables. Her last two
novels were part of her three-part series on the life of Jesus Christ.
But that hasn’t stopped her from cheering the rise of vampire lit from
the sidelines..
