I recently won a trip that allows me to chose from a variety of hotels in Las
Vegas.

Where can I find suggestions/advice on which to choose?

I have researched the hotels myself and have it dwindled down to 5. I would
appreciate any suggestions though.

The hotels are:

The Mirage
Green Valley Ranch Resort ( just outside of strip)
Mandalay Bay
JW Marriott Resort
Paris-Las Vegas Resort
The Bellagio

Thanks,

Annie

First trip to LV?

Bellagio or Mandalay Bay
Green Valley Ranch might be interesting, too-but it's not on the Strip.

Also go to www.cheapovegas.com for some good reviews. There are other good
web-sties, but this is my favorite.

Good luck and have fun!

What strings are attached?

If it pays the entire cost of any room, choose the most expensive one.

If they're giving a coupon towards the cost of a room,
you have to evaluate what your cost will be for each hotel,
and then choose which presents the best value to you and
what you want.

Wow, Annie! What a great prize!!

Many people will advise different places.

Bellagio and Mandalay Bay would be considered a class higher than the
others, and are on the strip. Bellagio is more convenient.

Green Valley Ranch is a ways off the strip, but is a nice Spa Resort. If
you want to have the traditional Vegas experience it'll be too far away.

JW Marriott has beautiful rooms but is also away from the action.

Paris is down a notch, but still nice.

I haven't liked the Mirage and think it's old and tired. The dolphin pool
and zoo is great, but you can see that wherever you stay.

My choice would be the Bellagio, because it has much more and is beautiful.
It has class, celebrities and wonderful food. I'll bet most people will
agree.

Have fun!!!

Annie,

I can answer your question with four simple words:

Stay at Bellagio.

Seriously, this decision, IMHO, makes itself. Of the properties
mentioned, Bellagio is by far the best, in the best location.

Green Valley Ranch is significantly further than "just off the strip,"
and you will need a car to get there. Mandalay Bay is good, but the
location is problematic and it is nowhere near the quality of
Bellagio. Mirage is nice, but Bellagio is just better in every way.
Same with Paris. JW Marriott, also, is waaaaay out of the way.

Go with the B, you can thank me later.

I'd go with Bellagio or Mandalay Bay. www.ratelv.com is a pretty good site
to help with your decision.

Mandalay Bay and Paris are both very nice.....but I think I would take
Bellagio if no cost is involved.

Here. :)

I would have a hard time picking between Mandalay Bay and Bellagio. If you are
younger, want a hipper casino and nightclubs, a better pool, I would pick
Mandalay Bay. If you want a really comfy bed, in a very nice room, in a nice
casino, I'd pick Bellagio.

Mirage and Paris would be my 3rd and 4th choices, with Green Valley WAY too
far off the strip, and not knowing anything about JW Marriott.
