Agent 7

Whenever I view an eMail in HTML and it has images, I have to use the
[Download images] option on the Info Bar at the top of Read Pane EVEN
when the sender is in my Address Book and HTML Images ARE approved.

I've reported this as a bug to Forté.

Anyone else see this problem?

Just hit the enter key.

No. This is by design.

The Agent HTML view was designed to provide SAFE viewing. This means
it doesn't download anything until the user initiates it, presumably
after he checks the source of the mail to be absolutely sure it's from
a bonafide source.

So much of the Internet is spam that you can't even depend on
white-lists to be sure your not going to get tagged from spam by
people in your contact list. NO scripting, NO downloads unless I tell
it to download.

It is working for me.

There is more than one setting which controls whether or not HTML
images are approved. Make sure you have looked at all 4 of the
settings below, and adjust if necessary.

1. In the address book, each contact has a setting

[ ] Automatically download HTML images for messages sent by this contact

2. There is a central master switch which can override the address book

Folder >> Default Properties >> Receiving Messages >> HTML Messages
When viewing an email HTML message with images, download the images if:
( ) Allowed by a trusted address book contact, routing address or mailing list
( ) The message matches any address book contact
( ) Never download images automatically
( ) Always download images

3. Each folder has its own individual master switch which can override
the central master switch

(*select folder*) >> Folder >> Properties >> Receiving Messages >> HTML Messages

One might use this, for example, to never download images in the Junk
folder.

4. Each scheme of folders has its own master switch which can override
the central master switch, but which in turn can be overridden by an
individual folder's master switch:

Folder >> Property Schemes >> (*select scheme*) >> Edit >> Receiving Messages >> HTML Messages

One might use this, for example, to allow image download in email
folders but not in newsgroup folders.

I have this checked.

That's my problem. With these settings I STILL have to manually

There are several other things worth looking at.
The next two would be items '3' and '4' from my previous message.
