He's using google. It's at his end not yours. Google is a piece of
crap that doesn't get Usenet standards right because as far as it is
concerned it is the only way to get on to Usenet.

PS. In my previous post I have just done a mistake: Google and not
Firefox. ;)
>Hi, I use Agent 5.1
Not according to your headers, you aren't; you're using version 6.
If you used the keyboard shortcut "H" on Christopher's post you'd see
that the he uses Forte Agent 5.00/32.1171.
YES I HAVE DONE AN ERROR, YES I USE AGENT 6
but some days ago I have not gotten this problem.
Have you tried pressing Q ?
>Hi, I use Agent 5.1 and when a guy replies me, I don't see any writing
>but I see this writing only:
You are using Agent 6.0. There is no Agent 5.1.
Agent 6 has a new feature to Hide Quoted Text. You need to read the release
notes in Help. Meanwhile, press Q to toggle the feature off.

OHHHHHHHH, wonderful advice. When I have clicked on Q, my problem has
disappear.
Thanks a lot!!!
Mide bad - the stuff coming from google users who don't format their
replies properly is different.
No need to shout at me, matey. I'm only trying to help. Now
that we've established you're using version 6, hit the "Q"
key to toggle off this new Hide Quoted Text feature.
>but some days ago I have not gotten this problem.
Oh, I thought you still had the problem. I didn't know that
some days ago you had not gotten this problem.
Hmmm... I must be missing something, as I just don't see how that kind
of feature would be useful...
If you are saying Agent should snip quotes automatically when one is
composing a reply, would you REALLY want it to do that ???
Or if you meant for Agent to just hide the quotes that will go out with
your reply while you are composing it, I have to think that would be a
really BAD idea. I think it would result in even more people sending
posts with gobs and gobs of quoted material (that they didn't even see
while composing the post). Bottom line, if the post I am composing has
so much quoted material that it is inconvenient for me to compose, then
it certainly has too much quoted material for me to send...
I am serious. And certainly not desperate.
The ??? indicates only that I am very puzzled....
>As for the "why", are you so masochistic that you'd enjoy adding through
>nearly *acres* & acres of many-times-requoted text, when such is simply
>solved by way of the "References:" header[s]?
Of course not. When composing a reply, I want to snip those "acres and
acres" of stuff of course; I don't want that junk in my reply. So I
definitely wouldn't want Agent to "hide" it; I want to see it is there
so I can snip it out. And certainly I prefer to do the snipping rather
than having Agent just do it; how would Agent know what I want snipped?
So, when you said "unfortunately, this text-hiding/substitution does not
apply, as it were, when posting/replying" with a little sad face, it
made me mildly curious as to what, exactly, you would want Agent to do
in this regard when composing a post or reply...
