"If you ain't a cowboy, you ain't shit." As Edward Abbey said, think
about it.

So ... if you =are= a cowboy, then you =are= ...

Aha! I see what you mean. Quite logical.

Instead of "leaving aside". Doesn't seem like the sort of thing a native
speaker would come up with, BWDIKIJATP.

RF, do you actually talk that way? What a wonder of a mind it is to think
and talk in so many initialisms.

To me, No Spam's "AKA D Dubya!" could mean the emphatic "The(long ee as in
tree) Dubya" or "The(with a schwa, but spoken with emphasis) Dubya".
My choice would have been to write it as either "De Dubya" (as in "De
Camptown racetrack, 5 miles long", which might be interpreted as racist, not
PC, or "eye dialect") or "Da Dubya", (which should be right up your
alley--an echo of "da Mare" in Chicagoese).

And I echo Askin's puzzlement. No Spam, what _did_ you mean?

"But What Do I Know...I Just Ask The Pope."
Or maybe "But What Do I Know? I'm Just A Teacher's Pet."
Or, "But What Do I Know? It's Just A Term, Pilgrim." (Is Areff into
doing John Wayne?)

It's not my own phrase, but a phrase used by Bill Lowe, who you can read
about here:
http://www.music.neu.edu/Faculty/Lowe/William_Lowe.html

He's also famous for "Keep those cards and letters coming", though he
probably didn't coin that one.
