Where d'you get that one? I never heard that. Of course they use
electricity (the usual type that is - I suspect the OP was talking about
some extremely unusual type) but I always understood that they used a whole
lot less energy, even so. It's because a power station is a more efficient
way of getting energy from fuel than a car engine. At least, that's what I
heard. Where did you get your information?

No need to be like that. I wasn't denying the evidence, I just didn't know
what it was.
I must apologize, though - I hadn't actually read the posting properly. I
just assumed you were talking about battery electric cars, which of course
can hardly be described as "air" or "water" cars, and jumped in with both
feet. I must say I hadn't heard of compressed air cars. If that paper's
anything to go by, there might be a reason for that!
So what I said wasn't even about the same type of car that you were talking
about.
I suspect that the OP was talking about a different type of car again. At
least, if you go by the rest of his posting, about "free energy" and that.
I think his "air cars" and "water cars" are probably something mightily
weird that only he and his mates talk about.
