Folks will tune in to Palin if only to watch her make a fool of
herself, and NBC.

'Game on': Sarah Palin will be host on 'Today' the same time as Katie
Couric takes anchor chair for 'Good Morning America'

TUESDAY will become a morning show brawl when Sarah Palin joins
'Today' as a guest host during the same time slot as Katie Couric's
debut in the anchor chair at 'Good Morning America.'
This may be the first time the two rivals have directly squared-off
since Couric interviewed the then-vice presidential candidate for a
2008 TV segment that caught Palin flat-footed and proved disastrous
for her reputation during the presidential campaign.
The former Alaska governor's appearance on the top-rated NBC morning
show signals an all-out ratings war with ABC, which has been nipping
'Today's' heels to capture the most viewers.
Gotcha: Palin widely criticized Couric's line of questioning during
the interview, saying she was unfair and biased
When Breitbart News asked Palin how she felt about going up against
Couric, whom she has lambasted as biased for posing unfair 'gotcha'
questions during her 2008 interview, she had a simple response.
'Game on,' Palin said.
Couric will be returning to the morning show anchor seat this week to
fill in for Robin Roberts after venturing into hard-news for the last
six years.
In 15 years as the host of the 'Today' show, she was branded
'America's Sweetheart.' She left in 2006 to take the ground-breaking
job as anchor of the 'CBS Evening News.'
The temporary return to morning TV is meant to help build interest in
her upcoming daytime talkshow, 'Katie.'
On Tuesday, Palin will be sitting in Couric's chair on 'Today,' with a
promise from NBC to 'reveal a different side of her than you've seen
before.'
The network is betting Palin's appearance can outshine Couric's return
to morning TV at ABC.
'I see this as a good opportunity to bring an independent, common-
sense conservative perspective to NBC. We’re "going rogue" and
infiltrating some turf for a day,' Palin told Breitbart News.
Palin's 2008 interview with Couric helped shape the national image of
her as Republican Sen John McCain's running-mate.
Palin was not well-known outside of Alaska and the interview was
widely seen, even among McCain's advisers, as being highly damaging to
her reputation.
After the interview, Palin said she would never take questions from
Couric again.
'It's like, man, no matter what you say, you are going to get
clobbered. If you choose to answer a question, you're going to get
clobbered on the answer,' Palin said later.
'If you choose to try to pivot and go on to another subject that you
believe that Americans want to hear about, you'll get clobbered for
that too.'
