Looking for a particular Western movie or series...

I don't remember if it was a series or a movie but feel more like it was a
series. All I remember specifically is that there was an Indian guide who never
rode a horse but ran and walked everywhere. He would say something like: 'how
would you like to be ridden?' when people mentioned it to him. Two men were
discussing whether or not he could be a guide for them without a horse, and one
of them pointed out that he always gets everywhere before they do.... Does
anyone know what I'm talking about? I think I rented it at Blockbuster years
ago.

I'm not positive if we're talking about the same show but there was a
character like that in one of the Lonesome Dove miniseries. Looking at
IMDB, I think it was Comanche Moon and the Indian was named Famous
Shoes. The same character also occurred in Streets of Laredo but was
played by a different actor. I think the scenes you mentioned occurred
in Comanche Moon, not Streets of Laredo, but I could be wrong.
