Lucy Lawless' hearing adjourned

Wednesday May 2, 2012

The next court appearance for actor Lucy Lawless, who was one of eight
Greenpeace activists arrested for breaking into Port Taranaki and occupying
an oil drilling ship, has been postponed.

Lawless and the others were remanded on bail on April 18 to reappear in the
New Plymouth District Court tomorrow but the hearing has been postponed
until May 17.

They are charged with entering an enclosed area at Port Taranaki without
authority and with the intent to commit a crime after boarding the drill
ship Noble Discoverer at the port in February and spending 77 hours up a
58-metre tower.

It was expected the group would enter a plea at their next appearance.
