Alex - I've always wondered, what gender are you? English Alexandra is
female, Alexander is male, what is Alexandre in German?

OK, so there's Callisto's own army, GGGHDs, Amarice's army of admirers
(AAA), what is there for Xena? I suggest XAM Xena's army of 'mirers. I
make myself the first member. I don't know if this will catch on or not.

Hi Bill,

I do like this idea! But XAM sounds too much like Xpam to me. Can we throw
this idea open to all the other Xena lovers and take a vote? Count me in as
first in line behind you, Bill.

Perhaps Xena could be associated with something personal or some type of
weaponry or some type of touch or some type of human quality. You have your
own ideas about this. Tell us more.

What you two have written all sounds good to me. But you stop to
consider things, we're *all* admirers of Xena. Haven't talked to anyone
so far who doesn't admire her. It's the rest of the cast where we have
our favorites.

X-RATED :-)

Such a sexism from you - tsk, tsk, tsk! There is more between heaven and
earth than just two genders... and their everlasting battle. :-)

BTW, I'm only half german. The other part of my ancestry goes waaaay
back in Portugal. (Tracing that was a real nuisance!) So the "-re"
ending was in fact something of a compromise. Spared me the "Alexander
Maria". :)

BOSS: Battle On Secret Society

I like the latter especially well. Has a touch of 'spanish
inquisition'...

Yeah, I'm with Alex. I like the latter also (at least in the BOSS part
as well as the "Secret Society." Need to find some different words for
the "Battle On" part.) Reminds me of Xena. It's also different from
the others so it'll be easily recognizable.

I'm glad you made that point, Rose. To me, "Xenite" means
"fan of Xena", at minimum. I know some people watch the
show ONLY for other characters, and don't care about Xena,
but I think those fans are rather rare. And I'm not one of them.

Why hide them? Stand up! Be proud! Scream at the top of your lungs
"YES!!! By the Gods YES!!! *I* did it!!! *I* put those hickeys on her
neck and I'd do it again if you people would just go away for FIVE DAMN
MINUTES!!!"

And then run full out when the mall security guards come.

Oh, how can you say this?

[COA mode]

What would Callisto's life have been without Xena? Dull and probably not
very different from any normal greek housewife. Only Xena's interference
gave her the chance to live and die in violent exaltation. Without Xena
as focusing point for all her marvelous and envieable energy, she'd be
only half as interesting and tempting for us humble admirers.

[COA mode off]

Apart from that, she's my second favourite character on the show. With
"dark Xena" rivaling even Callisto sometimes (can hardly wait for "Past
Imperfect"). And what would have become out of The Babbling Bard of
Poteidaia (TBBP) without Xena?

[Teasing]

Just another woman in Perdiccus life? Village fool of Poteidaia? The
living proof that the gods are accepting a certain degree of annoyance?

Oh yeah, I think that's part one of the main reasons why I liked 'OAAA' som
much. Sometimes I miss the "full-on, psycho-but-focused Xena", as Mike K.
described it. What made 'The Furies' so great was some of the darker scenes,
like when Xena goes to burn down the village. Great stuff...

Here's a suggestion: Pick your favorite "I love Xena" acronym,
attach it to your signature, and maybe you'll get some people to
join you. But since, to me, Xenite and HCNB mean I'm a Xena
fan first and foremost, GGGHD means I'm *also* a Gab fan,
don't be offended if I don't join your group since I see it as
redundant! I consider myself a member of ALL pro-character
groups on ATX [AAA, COA, ASTUD, TJASS, MOB, ZTTG,
etc. etc. etc.] but I don't (usually) put all those in my sig. <g>

I don't think any character can be admired by you as much as
Gabrielle. <g>
But that's not the point. The point is that you do admire Xena, don't
you?

I mean, even if it's not half as much as your admiration of Gab, let's
say it's a third, then your admiration of Xena must still be *HUGE*!

Well, since I brought them up:
ASTUD = Ares' Sirens: Tough, United, Determined
That's Rose's group
TJASS = The Joxer Appreciation & Sympathy Society
Lasse Makholm's organisation
MOB = Minions of Bohemia
I made that one up to harass Alex
ZTTG = Zafnak the Tadpole God
blessed by the devotion of the high priestess, Lamia Ledbetter
There's also:
AAA = which I think stands for "Amarice's Army of Admirers"
but I'm sure Steve Christianson and Bo and a few others
will kill me if I'm wrong
COA = Callisto's Own Army
Alex Ribeiro's group

and a couple others floating around. Feel free to add yourselves in,
people. :)

With the possible exception of ZTTG, all are newcomers
compared to the Great Goddess Gabrielle's Honour Defenders
[GGGHD]. But then many of us Xenites are also worshippers
of ZTTG. All hail Zafnak!

Mad Cow Disease. I assume MGD is Mad Gabby Disease, although I'm quite
comfortable with my affliction.

A bit. :)

Miniscule in comparison to admiration of Gabby :)

Sorry, I thought that was clear from the original reference. Xena, of
course. Although after "Crusader" I'm not so sure anymore. You know
Najara has something appealing to some deep-set feelings...
