Heh. A few nights ago we were tuning around and happened upon some kind of
crime show called "Criminal Minds". It's got a bunch of agents and
profilers hunting down elusive cases, aided by (among others) a woman who
sits at a computer terminal in the home office doing "gopher" stuff. My
wife immediately pointed at the screen and said "Look! They have an ugly
Chloe!"

Oh that's rough!

Chloe has sort of been a template, no doubt, a lot of shows go with
that type of character. Though some could argue the Matrix beat
everyone to it. Though Trinity as as much a field op as anything and
the people monitoring outside the Matrix were just as often guys. But
yeah, the template does pop up and Ms. Rajkub has defined it for our
time.

Chloe was really hot a few season's ago when she was guarding Jack's
"girlfriend" When she went outside guns blazing we all got to see
another part of her character. Sort of a female Dirty Harry :)

Max Headroom had a good-looking chick who would hack into building floor
plans and guide this cameraman reporter for a futuristic network to
record secret footage.

She had a British accent.
