I read it and I still don't get it. Where in that text is there a reference

Oops. Sorry. I'd be guessing about the meaning. This came up when the
episode aired, and no one knew.
S2's "Shibboleth" (two years before) refers to the conductor Toscanini also,
but it makes sense: CJ is to conduct a group of children in the singing of a
Thanksgiving song. She doesn't know the song. Toby and others tease her
about that. At one point, Toby addresses her as "Toscanini."

Okay, I could be replying to a group inside joke... I know I posted some

I'll have to take your word on that. I was only chiming in with my personal
take on it. When I saw this episode, I had thought he said "Tuskeege",
because of the story of the Tuskeege Airmen landing in a cornfield.
If he said Toscanini, I have NO idea what THAT was about.
