This is so slanted toward the men, it's silly.

The men probably have at LEAST the three strongest Apprentice candidates, while the women are still fumbling around and trying to figure out what they are doing.

The men are 4-2, and definitely would've won the Buick challenge if Michael Andretti was utilized AT ANY MEANINGFUL POINT. And the week before, it was clear that the women didn't win, either.

The women haven't won ONE STINKING CHALLENGE IN SIX WEEKS. And it's no wonder why when you see the power structure in Forte.

The women's team has been absolutely detonated by at least two players who have decided to eschew being Apprentices and treat this as a reality show and go for the jugular.

My view, 1-11:

1) Penn
2) Arsenio
3) Paul

Paul gets #3 for his utilization of that opening resource, to basically leave week one already almost a HALF-MILLION to the good for his charity, more than all of the other players combined to this date -- even if you add the $250,000 the winner's charity is to get from Trump. To have that kind of resource as an ace-in-the-hole, especially in the stronger side.

Arsenio gets #2 because he is the strongest personality in the game, but (as of yet -- this probably changes with the meltdown once the teams are switched, at least if I read the promo correctly) has tried to at least keep within the game situations in all of it. It makes Unanimous a stronger side for it.

Penn gets #1 because he takes the bull by the horns. He simply takes the bull by the horns and is honest enough about it to make an impact, and his intelligence and abilities put him just ahead of Arsenio, to this point, in my book.

Then we get to the next group:

4-6) Deborah, Aubrey and Clay (in some order)

Clay has yet to distinguish himself, in my view, to the level of the three men who I've already mentioned, to this point.

Aubrey O'Day is the most powerful player in Forte, and will sink that entire fucking ship if she's not careful. She openly orchestrated Tia's withdrawl from the competition with that shot about her age, then followed it up with a completely incomprehensible reaction to yet another Forte loss. Aubrey is treating this -- OPENLY -- as a reality show for the maximum drama and fight, and she has already basically wrecked the experience for anyone who gets in her way. This apparently continues in the double-episode next week.

Deborah, frankly, appears to be about the only real Apprentice candidate the women have -- the only one worth a Tinker's Damn. Too bad that she has basically burned so many bridges and probably irked more than a few people. She could easily have been the favorite to win the show before this started. Not now! She could easily be coming across as a one-trick pony -- a very hard worker who has had to scrape for anything she can get in her lines of work, but the fact is that the women are now so far behind the 8-ball that it cannot be lost on The Donald that even Deborah is not going to be enough to add another $250,000 to the total.

The winner is almost certainly going to be a guy, because the only person on the women's side who could survive, feasibly, will piss off Trump for the Firing of the Century when Aubrey finally takes the hike.

7) Teresa

Teresa is kind of in the same boat as Aubrey, and you're almost expecting punches from The Real Housewife of Joisey. If this ship goes down, eventually, even with the team-switch, you can bet there will be fireworks. Her and Deborah apparently get into it with Teresa (PM) for the last women's task in the first half of next week, according to the clips. There's too much "going into business for yourself" on Forte, and they're all going to walk -- all of the women will be gone. There's no team among the women at all.

8) Lisa

UTR, UTR, UTR. And on Forte, that's not exactly a bad thing, except that you need to distinguish yourself, and I don't think Lisa has done it.

Early guess: She walks out next week, first task.

9) Dee
10) Dayana
11) Lou

I get the sense Dee is going to have to withdraw due to the injury. I believe Trump will make sure his charity is taken care of, as a result.

Dayana is becoming a lightning rod for that whole Aubrey deal.

Lou, I believe, they're just waiting to get rid of for one reason or another.

I like Paul a lot, he is an effective leader in his own right, I
believe that in time he will show that more. He has been brilliant in
all the stuff he has been given to do and always delivers above the
par.

> Arsenio gets #2 because he is the strongest personality in the game, but (as of yet -- this probably changes with the meltdown once the teams are switched, at least if I read the promo correctly) has tried to at least keep within the game situations in all of it.  It makes Unanimous a stronger side for it.

Well agreed. He's extremely talented and a real team leader in the
sense of organizing the team and getting them going in the same
direction. Compare and contrast to the womens' team if you will... I
think Arsenio will take it out of the park as a PM.

> Penn gets #1 because he takes the bull by the horns.  He simply takes the bull by the horns and is honest enough about it to make an impact, and his intelligence and abilities put him just ahead of Arsenio, to this point, in my book.

I like Penn though he seems to have had a misfire with relations with
Clay and some others. It seems to have shaken out and he is putting
himself into the tasks, not dwelling on it or bowing out. The men are
all showing a willingness to put disputes aside and use the
differences of opinion they have to elevate the tasks rather than
wrecking them.

He's done OK. Arsenio pointed out Clay's willingness to battle, and in
time he may have more chance ot shine. He won as PM too, though in
fairness the guys won it as a whole by being more willing to throw
what was basically a fun party, as well as the brilliant slogan Paul
brought in there.

Yes, she is intentionally out to train wreck as much of the show as
possible. I guess she is going for the "famous for being famous" thing
rather than trying to impress people who might hire her later. I
wouldn't.

Aubrey is almost a female version of the director character from
"Smash" who is out to hand grenade the whole production (That show is
about a Broadway musical getting produced, or trying to get produced)
and take as many people down with him as he can when he does. Except
that is an over the top fictional character, and this show is supposed
to be a serious effort.

Not all of it is talent, Deborah has that, but she sort of hitched on
to the Aubrey scene. I wonder what she thought of the age comments,
from a person who was kissing her butt the minute before?

> The winner is almost certainly going to be a guy, because the only person on the women's side who could survive, feasibly, will piss off Trump for the Firing of the Century when Aubrey finally takes the hike.

I'm not sure she will, at least any time soon. The remaining women are
scared of her and it is likely she will continue to blow up that team
as best she can, and if she makes it to a merge may try to blow up
another team as well from there. I could be wrong, though, and I hope
I am. She's a very bad fit for the show and as you say is taking it in
the wrong directions from what it should be as a showcase for skills
and charities.

Theresa isn't too bad, she punched above her weight in the early
episodes but was hurt by the alliances that formed in the womens' team
as things went on. The politics are a disaster in that team.

>

Lisa is a tough cookie, which should suprise no one who has seen her
do her thing in a show, but she's a pro too. I feel she's been strong
on performance, and in the boardroom, agree with her or no, she can
fight.

I like Dee, always have of course since being a kid listening to TS,
but he has also been very gutsy and is getting back into it. last week
he was doing as much with his hands as anyone from what I saw. He's
also very creative and has brought a lot to the tasks.

> Dayana is becoming a lightning rod for that whole Aubrey deal.

The sad thing is, I believe she committed the "sin" of looking good on
a team full of nasty, jealous egos.

That's really all it is there, at least as far as all the flak she's
gotten vs. her performance relative to anyone else. I mean she's had
bobbles, but so has everyone on that team, and it has been very
personal with some of the others on that team. I think she'd be less
put upon in the guys' team actually.

He made one Hell of a first impression -- and if you take this show as a job interview first, that's something that is going to play well for him. Of course, the reverse _can_ happen, and you get swamped by not living up to inflated expectation.

If he ever gets the chance. He will be the only person in the original team setup who didn't either get fired before he could become a PM or be a PM himself.

Yeah, but he's only done _OK_ -- I think, as of this moment in the situation, he's got three ahead of him.

She's the Howard Stern comedienne, IIRC... Aubrey should've been thrown off the show for the comment she made about Tia's age. Aubrey has basically made sure that no woman, no matter how much she brings to the table, is going to win the show.

I think there are at least two of the five remaining women who are treating this as a reality show. Sadly, that appears to be right about up Burnett's alley.

When they got up from that Boardroom, I got a real sense of "Step awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay from the Aubrey" when Deborah got up. I wouldn't rule out that she's the walk-out, especially from the explosion which starts the preview clip!

She's basically Howard Stern as a female comedienne. She has no interest in working for anyone but herself! How anyone thought this would be a good fit for a serious charity enterprise with Donald Trump involved, I cannot figure out!

He has, so far. I get the sense he's going to hit a wall somewhere in the equation.

That has already been fatal for Patricia and for Tia -- and I think another, imminently...

I don't think Celebrity Apprentice has ever been shown to be about a
job interview or a real job. It's about raising money for charity,
and doing "free" marketing for the sponsors, plain and simple. I
don't know that any winner has ever taken on a "job" with a real
charity, after winning - I know Joan Rivers has not. I don't think
that's anywhere in the show's purpose.

Yes and no. I understand where you're coming from.

My point is that I believe (and I think the other poster to the thread agrees with me that), whatever the purpose is, Aubrey (and I add Teresa to that) is hijacking it.

Agreed, and my point is that it supposed to advertise the charities as
much as anything else. Where it is going isn't really the best
showcase for that, at least in the case of the one team this year.

Which is one of the reasons I'm glad that the one Apprentice Candidate on that team did get $50,000 for that charity, because she isn't getting the $250K, because Aubrey's being a bitch and Aubrey and Teresa are turning this into another version of reality television than what it should be.

I wouldn't rule out Donald casted it, so I can't say that's wrong. But how he puts up with this is something I can't fathom.

This is her ego -- and Teresa's entire schtick.

That Trump didn't get control of it has now cost the show at least two better competitors, and probably more!

So, who do you think will last longer? The Ugly Face or The Pretty Face?

The Ugly girl, by that, i mean the girl that is showing an ugly face (if ugly has a face)...
The ugly girl wants the pretty girl Fired, becasue ...she's pretty, and for other reason.

It's Ugly against Pretty. Who will survive? I mean, what will survive...

I think it is very basic. Of all the people in the room, she has done
the least in life. There are two approaches to take in that situation.
One is to be respectful and even when you are trying to defeat the
other team and survive on yours, watch and learn as much as you can
from the other people while trying to beat the other side and build up
your knowledge and relationships in the teams, especially in the first
few tasks of the contest. The other is to get self conscious and
strike out to be nasty to them as a way to make up for not being as
successful in your own mind. She chose option number two and took it
to the extreme.

If you literally line up any of the opposition, the success contest
isn't even close. They've all been literally world famous at one time
or another and many still are actually. I hadn't heard of Aubrey until
this show and am glad I hadn't, and not surprised either. If that is
how she does business I am not suprised she doesn't get more gigs. Ego
and attitude like that without a talent level to back it up means not
many people will want to hire her or work with her. Either she wants
to beat them so badly to prove something to herself or to the audience
that she hasn't considered just how to do that, or she's out to become
"famous for being famous" by being a train wreck, which is the
opposite of what the show is about, and everyone but Lisa is disgusted
with her. She also can't take it. I tell you that Tia, Dayana and a
lot of others have had more class and guts bearing up to her crap than
she's had when getting a little of it put back in her direction. She's
a punk. Especially without Lisa to back her up. Wonderful record her
and Lisa have compiled as a team, too.

I had never heard of her OR Lisa Lampanelli before this - or Patricia,
for that matter. I had heard of Debbie Gibson - can't remember any of
her music, and that little ditty she sang made her sound so nasal, it
wasn't very good, either. I wasn't impressed. Aubrey seems a little
man-crazy; so many of the challenges have been edited to include her
making some comment about appealing to the guys, or getting a date or
whatever. SO unattractive. I hope one of the "good guys" wins the
thing.

I questioned why the Walgreen execs didn't take either team to task
for not emphasizing the reward aspect of their walk program. I don't
believe either team ever even mentioned it in their presentation, did
they? If so, it certainly wasn't a major point.

Damn, Aubrey came back. But yeah! Lou is gone.

The "dark side" has pretty much consumed the remaining women. My interest in this train-wreck is evaporating by the week.

I don't understand why Lou didn't put her through the wall, I don't see
anyhting 'woman' about Lisa Lampanelli..
she looks like the Hunchback of Nortra Dame.

...now that you mention it.... ;-)

In what world is she well-known, anyway? I'd never heard of her. But
then I don't go in for really raunchy comedy, either, or live comedy
shows for that matter.

How so? I saw her going ballistic on here, but how is that like what
happened to Aubrey? I know Joan and Melissa feuded with Annie Duke in
their season.

I saw Aubrey being absolutely nasty to several people just to do it,
and trying to sabotage other tasks, then saying "woe is me" when she
got called on it. I believe that example stands on it's own.

Joan Rivers says "It's not about money" "she says "I don't want to hear about this charity nonsense!"

You say "they are representing charities they take seriously."

Joan Rivers would tell you, "I don't want to hear about this charity nonsense!"

In the "world of comedy"...
Comedy clubs are a fill in for strippers.

Comedy clubs are "strip joints" without the strippers...

Besides, I'm a guy and I don't watch Sports...so I don't know who those sports guys are.

Yet then she said the way Annie played had disgraced the game....

So was that an appeal to the purpose of the show or just Joan being
mad at Annie? Because if it is just her being mad at Annie it takes
away from that argument. I remember her talking about different ways
to play in the final boardroom. (Probably the nastiest CA final battle
ever, by the way. Compare to Piers Morgan vs. Trace Adkins where Piers
was tough in how he played but gracious personally to Trace.)

If a player doesn't care about the charity part, they shouldn't
play....

It is my personal opinion that I don't think *any* player plays because of...charity. It's a front.

I think here and there, there are players who play for their
cause...Patricia Vasquez seemed to be one. So did Holly Robinson
Peete.

The tasks this season really haven't concentrated on earning money -
maybe the Donald figured out that each celebrity had only so many
people in their little black books, and beyond a request or two, there
wouldn't be enough coming in; plus, the corporate sponsors probably
carry most of the expense of the episodes.
