Got 10005 hours on my DLP lamp

Wow, I know I had it for quite a while but when the repairman came to
change the burned out bulb he showed me the hours on the menu.

It's a Misubishi 65735 and It's on almost constantly.

It sure looks superb now with the new bulb. You don't realize that
the picture is degrading because it's so gradual.

The second (and last) 50" Samsung DLP lamp logged 10414 hours when
removed. The 55" LG LED LCD that replaced it runs 1/3rd the power AND
is brighter and clearer and while I miss the Samsung, I don't really
miss it.The light consistency on the Samsung was quite good as the new
lamps were not even noticeably brighter. A guy at work just replaced
his Mits lamp this weekend for $77 and is delighted with it.
