You can try Jim Thompson's suggestion, but they may know that for most
customers a class action suit is a hollow threat. Worth a try though.
It may be more effective to tell them that you're going to the local
media with your story (call the consumer advocate at the local TV
stations, if any, write a letter to the newspaper, etc.) and it will
make them look bad and they'll have more customers like you calling and
asking for what you want. Then with more complaining, a class action
suit threat may appear more credible.
I decided to subscribe to Dish some time ago - they don't have a
contract for all their packages. I got one without. ATT Uverse TV
doesn't have a contract either last I checked. It�s much better to be
without the contract if possible. But some of the up-front limited
time discount deals are tempting with the contracts.
