Best sound bar for den and bedroom?

All:
I have two Samsung LED TVs, one in my den and another in my master bedroom, and I was
wondering what type of soundbar would sound good in both?

Don't know what's best, but I have a Sony CT-150 that works fine in my
bedroom. It has one drawback that I don't like though. It doesn't have
a menu to display on your TV to make changes. The display is on the
sub-woofer unit and hard to read from a distance.

The AVS forum is a good place to read user opinions/information to help

I have the Vizio with wireless subwoofer in the BR, very nice, much better
than the TV speakers.
However, it's not surround sound, it's stereo with self-filtered subwoofer,
which in the BR is not an issue.

If you use the den as the primary home theater, you really should consider
real surround.

Think about it. How can you have good speakers in TVs so thin you can
hang them on the wall??

Since my first VCR I've been running the sound through my stereo system.
Huge Pioneer floor speakers (or AKG 240s at night) running from a Pioneer AV
receiver. The TV set is a set of components where you can now swap out
components for better ones where possible.

Oh, that's why we called it a TV set. ;-)

Incredibly, one we have isn't that bad. it's a 32" Hisense. IMO, it's
mostly a matter of leaving a chamber of sufficient volume behind the
drivers, and possibly adding ports.

Besides, a truly determined person could have hung an old
tube-chassis 25" Zenith console on the wall :)

yeah - if you troll the old Radio Shack catalogs, they'd sell you
bits and pieces - and a cabinet to put it in - all separately.
People would spend a month's pay on a TV... or much more.

With current technology, you cannot. But one day we'll have great
speakers the thickness of a magazine.
