TV lamp door issue

I have a Toshiba 62HM195 HDTV. Years ago, the screw setting that holds the
lamp door shut (the door that you open to replace the DLP lamp) broke. This
means that i can't screw the door shut. The pain is that the TV will
automatically turn off if it senses that the lamp door is not closed so
every time i replace the lamp, i tape the door shut with duct tape.
However, every once i n a while, the door comes loose and i have to go over
and press the tape on tight to get the TV to turn back on.
Can anyone tell me where the sensor is in this tv that tells it that the
door is shut? I'm thinking that i can maybe cover up (if it's
light-sensitive) or force it to be always on somehow.

HVAC people have been using foil tape instead of duct tape for many years.
