modern day reality where we have our small and insignificant planetary
problems...to becoming a space faring civilization earning the respect
of advanced races, Learning how DEEP universal history really is and
all that came before us, and understanding our place in the grand
scheme of things. And of course acquiring big honkin space guns and
cool technology.
SGU does not offer and continuation to this what so ever. If I want to
watch a drama I will watch Life time and get all the same shit. The
fact it happens to be SET on some "Lantean ship" with a stargate on it
makes absolutely no difference, the content is just absolutely
terrible.
And what is the big fucking deal with the whole "OMG WE ARE THE WRONG
GROUP OF PEOPLE WE HAVE NOT THE EXPERTISE TO FIX OUR SHIP OOO NOES:("
Has anyone else noticed the SEVERE under utilization of the major plot
device that is the "Ancient communication stones"
HELLO? The fact you have those stones means any one of your crew is at
any time a wild card which can be substituted with....FUCKING DOCTOR
MCKAY for all it matters, to check your shit out and lay out a course
of action...or just work hourly *shrug*.
"Damn...I cant figure out how to access the systems or get the ship
under control..I wish I had ancient technology skill points of
1000...Oh wait...Doctor Mckay has maxed out his ancient technology
skill points..."
At which point you type in "Shift + ~ : Change Character DR MCKAY" or
"Samantha Carter" IE: use the fucking stones to accomplish this..and
now you have your fucking skill requisite to fix your problem
Of course it would destroy the plot, But since they included the
stones which are well capable of use in this manner to solve their
problems, I would at LEAST like an acknoweldgement to this in the
story, and of course they can device some "plot driven" excuse as to
why it cannot be done. But at least they wont be insulting our
intelligence any longer.

Why you can't just pop Rodney or Carter into the show (besides RL
considerations)- Carter is commanding the General Hammond ship which is
out on patrol defending Earth's outposts and allies from the likes of
the Lucian Alliance. Rodney is trying to get Atlantis back into space
and probably back to the Pegasus Galaxy to defend the allies there from
the Wraith. And probably trying to reverse engineer a ZPM.
Yes, the Destiny's crew is in dire straits but Carter & McKay are
working to protect billions of lives.

Nobody's going back to pegasus. That would be insane. The Atlantis is
needed on earth to protect it. The fact of a super ancient Lantian
ship 2 billion LY from Earth would be pretty interesting to McKay --
at leasr to make a couple of visits.
Let's admit it: the crew of Desity is a bunch of clueless morons, and
now that Rush is left on another planet, they will be even more
clueless.

I HATE this show so far,.,.
May as well be called BattleGate GalactiStar.
Same crap as BG except for that every member of the cast doesn't
realise they are each a Cylon at some point (at least so far)
