Chloe: Sex with Scott in "Light", has behaved romantically with Eli in

Scott: Sex with Chloe in "Light", almost sex with a soldier in "Air
Part 1", flashback of telling his priest about his 16 year old
girlfriend in "Air Part 3".
Young: Married to one Emily, but that romance appears to be over.
Emily is mad at him for taking actions that risked rendering him
unable to return to her. Evidently, she thinks he had no business
being at the Icarus base in the 1ST place! Could Young have requested
a posting at Earth to be with his wife?

least as important as his need for military adrenaline? I figure that
that's the point Emily was trying to make.

Young was crying over his wedding ring--I think it's as important to
him. But she's only one person--lots of other people depend upon him as
a commander, and that's the bigger draw for a military man (or woman,
which is why you'll see military women who've recently had babies
heading off to Iraq, etc.).

In a last ditch effort to save his marriage, I suggest that Young
invite Emily to come to Destiny via communications stone so that she
can SEE how much he's needed on the Destiny.
Plot Twist: A stone malfunction traps Emily on board Destiny in the
body of Chloe, that medic, or that IOA chick.:)

Too predictable. Let her visit, let her make up with Young (but they
can't make up physically, it would be unethical) and let that give Young
more angst, but in a positive way that makes him more determined to get
himself and his people home, safe and sound.

Well Vala was executed by the towns folks but brought back by a Pryor, with
her mind still in that body.
I would guess that if the body died (and stayed dead) the mind occupying it
would die with it.

I've rewatched it twice. She was scared. He was there. If it had been
Matt, she would have called out to him. If it had been her dad, she
would have called the same way. It wasn't a sexual call by any means,
LOL. More of a WTH?!? call.

Again, methinks YOU are the clueless one. It was a peaceful moment,
something Chloe and the others hadn't had in some pretty high tension,
anxious, terrifying hours. The girl relaxed, she wasn't hitting on Eli,
for goodness' sakes. Friends DO rest their heads on one another's
shoulders, if they are looking for comfort.
If she HAD been hitting on Eli, don't you think she'd have been pulling
him off to some quiet area (like she and Matt did) where they could get
nekkid and do the bo-dee-oh-doe?! Who would have cared if she was a slut
going from one man to another?? No one. BUT SHE DIDN'T. She doesn't have
a sexual interest in Eli. It's pretty obvious, even to him now that he's
seen her go off with Matt and reading their body language of what they

Friendship is NOT a relationship. Look it up in a dictionary.
A [personal] relationship is a connection by blood or legal device
(marriage, adoption, etc.), and coloquially includes situations leading to
the latter (e.g. dating).
Figures that you'd need a memo for it to be explained to you.
It's clear that the medic-patient situation prevailed. However, I suspect
that there might have been something between them (thus also explaining his
[ex-]wife's view back on Earth beyond that of simply putting the job
first). They might not be in a relationship now, but I suspect there's
some dirty laundry between them in their past (that has yet to be
revealed).
In psychology, it is well known that there are women who take the "teddy
bear" type for their LTRs, but cheat by having flings with the most
masculine jock-types they can find. It's clear that the Chloe+Matt(LT
Scott)+Eli triangle is one of these. Why else would LT Scott be banging LT
James in the first scene we find him in (on the Icarus Base planet) and
"instantly" switch to Chloe without any regrets or remorse. Clearly LT
James has a different view on that - with the "broom closet" comment.
Despite his other skills, LT Scott is a user of women and a scumbag. Given
3 more episodes, LT Scott will be banging someone else. LT James figured
that out about Scott. Notice that there've been a lack of scenes of them
interacting since arriving on Destiny, except for him pointing at her in
the Shuttle in "Light" to guard the door.

You HAVE noticed that the Icarus group is going through some pretty
unusual situations, so reactions are likely to be...UNUSUAL for these
peoples' usual behavior?
That is, they aren't acting the way they normally would act. Lt. Scott
may stay faithful to Chloe for the rest of their lives if they remain
trapped on Destiny forever...just because he's a man doesn't mean he's
a lowlife cad.
Just out of curiosity's sake, may I ask what gender are you? Your
remarks might make more sense to me and others if we knew where you are
coming from.

I think this is a gender thing, more than an age thing (though age may
play into it).
I just asked my husband... He said that he thought she was "sort of
playing Eli, yeah, I think she was". Women seem to think that Chloe
wasn't playing Eli.
I can see why someone would think she was leading him on (D.Stussy
made good points), and I can see where someone would say she wasn't
(who and Jette made good points).

Heh, well, resting your head on someone's shoulder is slightly intimate.
A guy (especially Eli) might think there's more to it than there really
is. Since Chloe had sex so easily and quickly with the military guy
(can't think of his name), it seems to me that she is a touchy/feely type
who is not shy to touch people. Most people wouldn't do that I don't
think. Even under those circumstances, I wouldn't rest my head on
someone's shoulder unless I was involved with them and I'm a girl. I
doubt a guy would, period.

Update: During a communications stone visit to Earth, Young has reconciled
with Emily with a vengeance! They made love! During the sex act, Telford
and Young switched back to their proper bodies for a few seconds when
Destiny dropped out of FTL, causing the communications stones to glitch!
Telford therefore found himself in bed with Emily! Fortunately, the
stones soon resumed operation, allowing Young to complete the ACT!
While Young and Emily were drinking in bed after sex, Destiny jumped back
into FTL, and the stones glitched again.
A drunken Chloe seemed to be trying to seduce Eli! I'm surprised that she

Life: Telford appears to be getting romantic with Young's wife Emily.
The two frequently eat meals and drink wine together, and he has been
providing emotional support.
Life: Scott looked up his former girlfriend (the one who was 16 when he
knew her) and learns that he gave her a child! Later, he makes love to
Chloe again.
