I like how she says "I like camping" at the end in the tent watching a
movie on the laptop out in the forest, after screaming, shrieking, and
getting bite and tired being with her b/f.

Wonder who she is?

A question was posted to another site referring to the identity of
this girl and someone answered Jo Newman. I looked at all the photos
on IMDB but could only be sure that there is some resemblance, but I
can't be sure it's her. Who ever she is, she is absolutely adorable!
Why don't they have a site like IMDB that allows us plain folks to
look up these people we see in commercials with out having to pay. I
notice IMDB does contain some commercials info but 90% of the info is
about movies not much at all about TV commercials. I mean these
commercial production companies know exactly who is in their
commercials, wouldn't these TV commercial stars want to get some
notoriety like those in movies get....?

This actually came up with Victoria's Secret. The models have become
better known that the lingerie they're modelling so for a while the
company tried to use more unknowns so people would remember the point of
the ads. I can see the same issue with some other companies, they may
not want to draw attention to the actor(s) and away from the products.

I have to agree with you about the need and desire for easy id'ing of
commercial acting. I usually just go to a forum (like IMDB
Communities) and ask.

Commercials are easily the best entertainment on TV because they don't
carry the baggage of character/plot development and can be as
"immediate" as a Dr. Who episode. Better than video game style movies
trapped in long formats.

Whenever it reaches a point where commercials are the best
entertainment on TV, that's when I reach for the "off" button.

not a pro football fan? from Hamms's bear to 1984 to the Budweiser
commercials, some of the best minutes on TV.

commercials have the advantage that they spend more producing some
30sec spots than entire 60 min episodes.

One of the great fashion designers--might have been Givenchy--once said
that a female model is just a walking coat rack. Her purpose is to be
as anonymous as a coat rack, so that the fashions are what people
notice.

In fact, the new fashion design apps for the PC include a catwalk
simulation capability, in which you can simulate the fashion without the
need of a human model:

Computer simulations will save big bucks over hiring one of these
overpriced famous female models.

I used to be. I was entertained by all of the "Tastes great" vs. "Less
filling" ads.

30 second spots that get repeated three times an hour for weeks on
end...

Then he's missed the entire point of fashion shows. It's not about
the fashions, it's an ad for the designer's name. Get super models.
Design dresses with bird cage hats and the left tit uncovered. You'll
get media attention and your name will be heard.

Computer simulation will probably get you noticed the first year.
After that it's back to famous models.

It's like television ads using famous people.

It's easier to design clothes for stick figures instead of real women who
have curves.
