The biggest problem with TNG is that the 70 years gap between TOS and
TNG was unnecessary and made the TOS / TNG crossovers extremely
awkward. Seriously, did Vulcans really live that long? Roddenberry
thought he needed 70 years to explain the advances in technology
between TOS and TNG but, really, think about that we had back in 1941:
we didn't have TV, computers, cell phones, digital cameras or jet
airplanes. Any of us going back to 1941 would think we were living in
medieval times. In TOS, Kirk and crew could fly to the center of the
galaxy and back in a single episode. On Voyager the ship was supposed
to take 70 years to cover the same distance at maximum warp. What.
The. F***? Was there some kind of undocumented intragalactic war
that set technology back a century or was the writing just horribly
inconsistent?

If it's a problem that appears in each episode, you multiply each
problem by the number of episodes.

For a problem that applies to every episode, you multiply the number
of problems by the number of episodes. That would give us a couple
hundred.
