I guess the low traffic is because people these days don't use usenet.
Many internet users these days don't even know that usenet exist,
much less what it is. They prefer web forums.

Yep, only old farts use USENET.

There's always the ORIGINAL discussion forums: bathroom walls. Pretty
damn anonymous unless you tally.

Lasts a long time between cleanings and can be interesting by the very
nature of graffiti versus formal "respected" messages with other
passerby's altering the original messages with doodles and whatnot.

Somewhere I read about someone writing the entire first chapter of a
Harry Potter book on a bathroom wall.

That man needed fiber in his diet.
