Was listening to the car radio this afternoon, when the presenter said
that, later on, they would be talking about "Today is the 25th
Anniversary of Star Trek, um arrh, Star Trek the Next Generation"!!

So Happy Anniversary Next Gen!!

Do we celebrate? When Abrams nightmare is 25 years old, guess we
can have a wake then.

Gee, does that make me back.

I remember when I saw the first episode, "Encounter at Farpoint," in
October 1987 I think.

I had caught some nasty flu bug and I could barely sit up to watch the
episode. But I wanted to watch it anyway.

And I had a business trip to go on the next day--which turned into the
business trip from hell. I got so sick that they called paramedics to
take me to the local hospital.

Fortunately, I recovered eventually.
