Scott Bakula really, really wants a role in Abrams' Trek films

Though J.J. Abrams connected his Star Trek reboot to the world of the
original series with some awesome cameos by Leonard Nimoy, there hasn't
been much buzz about other Trek stars popping up. But the star of the
final series to grace the small screen wants in the next time around.
Scott Bakula, who played Capt. Jonathan Archer on UPN's Enterprise in
the early 2000s, told ComingSoon.net that he's just waiting by the
phone:
"I love the new film! Are you kidding? They just have to ask. They have
my number. I fax it regularly over to his (J.J. Abrams') office. Is that
wrong? Is that pandering? In uniform. Maybe that's too much."
Of any character from the Trek series, Bakula would be the easiest
fitâ€"as he (and his adorable puppy) is directly referenced in a
brief nod in Abrams' 2009 Star Trek.
So, J.J., give him a call!
What do you think? Are you hoping Bakula will pop up at some point,
