Despite my half-assed attempts to write it off as an urban legend...

Charles Rocket is in fact deceased. I just spoke to Denny Dillon on the
phone, and she confirmed it.

Damn.

Wow, even Denny Dillon can get a stalker.

'E's passed on! This Rocket is no more! He has ceased to be! 'E's
expired and gone to meet 'is maker! 'E's a stiff! Bereft of life, 'e
rests in peace! 'Is metabolic processes are now 'istory! 'E's kicked
the bucket, 'e's shuffled off 'is mortal coil, run down the curtain and
joined the bleedin' choir invisibile!! THIS IS AN EX-ROCKET!!

Smartass, did you ever think that maybe we actually know each other?

Well in that case, I want John Cleese to do *his* funeral too.

Graham Chapman's probably the only person ever to have his eulogy include
the sentence, "The freeloading bastard, I hope he fries." :-)

Seriously... THINK, funnyboy88. And don't presume that their phone
call was just "Hey, he's dead, bye." Denny Dillon probably had PLENTY
to say.

Wow, thanks for the info. I found that Cleese also was the first
person to say "fuck" in a eulogy... I posted it in another thread.
Rocket would have been proud.

Haha, I see you returned!

Back to the matter, it was a joke (the stalker thing).

What, now you're trying to say Denny Dillon's stagnating career is some
kind of joke? Is that what you're getting at? After all the laughs
she gave us on SNL, Dream On, and that women-in-prison show?

Shame on you, funnyboy88.

Everyone loves a name-dropper.

Right. Everyone else who's died on this planet has been beloved by the
ones left behind. "The freeloading bastard, I hope he fries," isn't
particularly original or unusual.

How do you research something like this? You can't know the content of
every eulogy ever said. Sheesh.

Any word on why he did this? not speculation any word from whomever
might have been acquainted with him.
