It'll soon be 2010... You forgot the Star Child.

Tiger Woods has just been named "Athlete of the Decade"
His chosen event? The Broad Jump.
You should be taken out into the street and shot, for the worst puns ever!
Of course I'll share this with some of my pun-loving friends.
:-P
Didn't you say you were a Christian?

LIAR!!!!!
Almost, but you got that last word wrong. It should have been "deer" instead
of "year". :-)
In fact it might read easier if you replace "egrets" with "geese" as well:
Wee fish ewe a mare geese moose panda hippo gnu deer!
;-)
You're right about the deer of course, but you need 'egrets' to get the
'e' that you don't pronounce at the end of 'mare' :)
Great - you guys are helping him.
A pox on you.
> In no particular order:
Merry Christmas! And in the spirit of the season Usenet Central
will be doubling all your posting salaries in the new year. :-)
Ah, of course. Hmmm ... how about:
Wee fish ewe a mare eel geese moose panda hippo gnu deer!
Maybe not. :-)
Merry Christmas, Happy Boxing Day, and Happy new Year to all of you as well!
... now, where's my flying car, my personal jetpack, even my hoverboard?!!
"The Future" SO lied to me as a kid! ;-)
hmmm- dont know how old you are but some of the stuff the future
promised me came true
heres my checklist from stuff that I was promised in the late 50's:
Computers in every home- check
phone in every car - check
communication device in every pocket- check
video phone- check (via internet)
buck rogers flying into space- check
documents transmitted and magically appearing on the other side- check
artificial hearts- check
robotic arms- check
robots on other planets- check
cloning- check
discovery of other planets
every once in a while when i think that the "future" isnt developing
fast enough... I try to imagine life exactly 100 years ago- so in this
case 1909 and reflect on the changes in only 100 years.
And while we may never have a flying car (how could you possibly
regulate and control traffic), I could book a trip that will take me
into space.
things that could STILL happen within my lifetime:
men (women) on another planet
stem cell body part repair
humanoid robots or androids
and yes- flying cars
what would you say that was- in generalities - about 70% correct? not bad-
I forgot some checks that were part of the future in the late 1950's-
diagnostic health machines - Check
color TV's-check
flat screen TVs- check
4" TV's- check
60" TV's - check
Giant stadium TV's - Check
copy machines in home- check
Video recorders- check
locate where you are in the world- check
see the problem is - once you get to the future - it doesnt seem so
futuristic anymore. My grandchildren wont be amazed at what surrounds
them in 50 years. They'll say: "WTF happened to all the future things
we were promised?"
And yet people still scrounge for food in Appalachia and our cities and much
of the country pumps its poop into the water they drink -- the greatest
bodies of fresh water in the world aren't really that "fresh".
I was married to and Android -- I prefer people.
A flying car? How about a plane that flies since our airliners don't really
fly -- they just force themselves through the air -- check that with
Sullenberger. Maybe the airlines in the future could discover a place to
put one's legs?
The future is always bright -- it's the present that's damn grim.
And all the shit made in China? Nope -- no check on that.
Great medical diagnostic machines but doctors still rely on a good autopsy
to discover the truth.
why the fuck are they doing that? Plenty of coons and possum around
those parts. Lets send em bows and teach em how to shoot.
Now I figure--- If you give a man a 'coon you feed him for a day, BUT...
if you teach a man to hunt you feed him for a lifetime
and our cities and much

Would have been a treat. That lucky Bob Cummings. (very politically
incorrect show)
