Actually, genius, the school was segregated by gender, not sex. Please die.
Dammit. I meant not segregated by race.

Usage Note: Traditionally, gender has been used primarily to refer to
the grammatical categories of "masculine," "feminine," and
"neuter," but in recent years the word has become well established
in its use to refer to sex-based categories, as in phrases such as
gender gap and the politics of gender. This usage is supported by the
practice of many anthropologists, who reserve sex for reference to
biological categories, while using gender to refer to social or
cultural categories. According to this rule, one would say The
effectiveness of the medication appears to depend on the sex (not
gender) of the patient, but In peasant societies, gender (not sex)
roles are likely to be more clearly defined. This distinction is useful
in principle, but it is by no means widely observed, and considerable
variation in usage occurs at all levels.
Funny thing - when I went to dictionary dot com to get that note, the
banner ad was from the GSA, and was headlined "By the 6th grade, many
girls lose interest in math and science."

Actually, genius, "gender" and "sex" are the same thing. Feminists
prefer to use the word "gender" because they're afraid that the word
"sex" will make guys think of the old in-out, in-out.
"Hey, baby, wanna have gender?"

Actually, Professor Genius, have you ever heard of the dictionary? Look
up the words "gender" and "sex". They are not the same thing.

Actually, genius, if you bothered to read on before shooting your mouth
off, you'll see that I corrected myself in my next post.
You're more than a little late.

Let's hope your girlfriend isn't the same way.
