Soooooooooooo unfunny, Mat Groening. Her character (as Homer's mom,
Mother Simpson) has ALWAYS been a selfish cunt. And they KEEP writing
her storylines that allow her return.

Even now that she's "dead" and been "cremated", she could STILL
unfortunately return to further torture her son emotionally.

She's not supposed to be funny - she's supposed to be the "hey, look,
the conservative movement was bad in the 1960s just as it is bad
today, but fortunately there are people out there willing to put a
stop to it" character. Lisa can't do it all by herself...

One of these days people will stop trying to tie ratings (popularity) with
quality. One of these days.....

That'll be the day when people stop posting articles from elsewhere,
including things about ratings, instead of actually posting their own
words.

After all, those people are actually saying quantity is better than
quality, so they post filler to the newsgroups.

The "Glenn Close" discussion topic is moving up the list.

We seem to discuss her and how she ruins the show every few months.

Pretty soon she will be up there with "Baker Street" and "Smithers is
black, and one time, he was gay".

I will now add the same comment I contributed the last time we
discussed this (which wasn't too long ago).

"She looked hot in that nude scene in that movie about The Big Chill,
but I can't seem to remember the name of the movie."

Speaking of which, see those words above my signature up there? Not a
single one of them is mine. Someone did a lousy job of attribution and I'm
pointing my finger straight at you, Wiseguy.

That same night, they also reran the episode of 'Family Guy' where
Brian finds out he has a 13-year-old son (Dylan). At the end of the
episode, they _still_ muted the name Tim Russert. I can understand the
FIRST time (he had died 9 days earlier), but now? Are they going to
deny us when that episode hits syndication/cable? I thought it's a
pretty funny joke and Tim would approve.
