Woohoo! 'Simpsons' fans rejoice! Universal Studios is building
Springfield
by Sandra Gonzalez

OMG! OMG! OMG!

This could be the greatest news for Simpsons obsessives since those
7-Elevens were converted into Kwik-E-Marts to celebrate the release of
the Simpsons movie.

Springfield, home of the three-eyed fish and hometown of Jebediah
Springfield, is becoming a reality at Universal Studios Orlando
amusement park.

While rumors have been floating for a while, Universal Studios
officially announced today that they are expanding the area around the
Simpsons Ride in Orlando to include an entire area that mimics the
streets of Springfield. And yes there will be Duff Beer, a release
said.

Some of the attractions will include a Krusty Burger, a Lard Lad
donuts, and, of course, Moes Tavern. There will also be a new Kang &
Kodos-themed attraction. (Personal hope: the gift shop only sells
Bort license plates.)

Im thrilled. Also, can I just say its about time? I mean, Harry
Potter fans have an entire Wizarding World of fun, and while Im
totally happy for them, it brings me great joy to say Simpsons fans
will get to enjoy the Krustyest place on earth.

Yeah, that turned out to be a whole bunch of nothing. This will
likely be no different.

A decade ago this would have been a good idea.

I would like to talk to the 1990s... Did it leave a call back number?

Sure, why not. It'd make it at least slightly more interesting.

I also think it sounds fun. But they're right, this would have been
HUGE 20 years ago.

I've had this idea for a Futurama episode based around a Simpsons Theme
Park that I'd love to pitch to 30th Century FOX. Now it's more
relevant, but Futurama is canceled, so...

I found it in "Ned's Book of Names" (http://www.snpp.com/guides/flanders.file.html), and it's from THOH V :

Ned: Oh! I see by the Big Board we got a Negative Nellie in Sector
Two. I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask the whole family to
kind of freeze and prepare for Re-Neducation.
