In real life Jason Alexander has had a lot more going for him than
poor George, his character on "Seinfeld". So far he's been a
successful Broadway actor/singer/dancer. He's been the MC of touring
"Just for Laughs" stand-up comedy shows. At present he's the artistic
director of a California theatre company. Now, according to this
Associated Press story, he's created a new character for his corporate
work.

"George Costanza is no longer Jason Alexander's only alter ego. He has
created a comic motivational speaker named Donny Clay, who performs at
corporate retreats. Alexander said that performing as Donny Clay is a
dream job for him.
The former "Seinfeld" star told AP Radio he takes the jobs he wants,
turns down the ones he doesn't and the corporations pick up his travel
expenses. Not only that, he's meeting people he never would've met
before and that's leading to some other job opportunities."

Atta boy, Jason That's where the money is!

And let's not forget "Duck Man"! One of the funniest animated shows on
TV.

Not knowing anything about Duck Man, I Googled it and got this
hilarious clip of Jason Alexander hosting a roast of William Shatner.
Who says that the only thing Jason did that was funny was playing
George Costanza?

He also plays poker. I watched him in the Main Event of the World
Series of Poker currently being broadcast on ESPN. He did alright for
a while but got knocked out the first day. He apparently had a side
bet with Ray Romano as to who would go out first, which he lost to the
tune of a grand. They said they were meeting for dinner that evening.

He appeared very engaging and down to earth whenever the camera spent
time on him. Seems like he might be fun to hang around with.

I've seen him playing poker before, so this isn't his first foray into
it.

I was unable to check the link you forwarded: I got a message from my censor
here in the country where I live, saying:"Access to this site is currently
blocked. The site falls under the Prohibited Content Categories of the
<country's> Internet Access Management Policy."

That said, I must point out I purchased all my Seinfeld DVDs in this same
country specifically from a Virgin's retail outlet... And, this is not my
country, I'm an expat here.

I've seen Jason playing poker on TV. I personally don't appreciate the idea
of poker on TV with celebraties portraying it as something ok. Reason for my
stand is how many end up falling victims to ludomania and the catastrophies
that can bring. A good read on the subject is The Music of Chance by Paul
Auster.

Again, just my personal opinion.

I miss Jason doing his gig for Kentucky Fried Chicken on TV ads a few
years back. I guess KFC got tired of having a portly, middle-aged, bald
guy -- leaving the impression - "that if you eat our product - you'll
look like that". I believe baseballer Barry "Steroids" Bonds was in some
commercials too. Phil

I only ever see people who aren't portly in fast food restaurant ads.
