As of October 25, 2008, the complimentary Comcast Newsgroups service,
powered by Giganews, will be discontinued. This feature provided
customers access to 2 gigabytes of newsgroup information on a monthly
basis. After this date, these customers will no longer be able to access
the Comcast Newsgroups service through Comcast. Customers who have
subscribed directly to Giganews for newsgroup access will not be
affected by this change.
While we have seen a decline in popularity of newsgroups as customers
have chosen to get information from other sources, we know a small
percentage of our customers continue to use newsgroups today. If you are
interested in continuing to access newsgroups, Giganews is offering a
special promotion for Comcast customers. Click here to learn more.
Thank you for being a valued customer.

Well folks, if I don't manage to find some other way back, I'd just like
to say my short time here has been pretty cool, just like the show.
Paige, you rock!

It is terribly annoying that many Isp's nurture the idea that Usenet
is of waning value. Nothing on the web can ever be as convenient as
Usenet groups. With a good Usenet client it is by far the best method
to share thoughts and ideas on a number of varied topics.
You need to find a better Isp.
Good luck with all that!

No matter the ISP, you should be able to access this group via google
groups at groups.google.com. That's how I get to it. Just run a search
for alt.tv.seinfeld when you get there. Then you can access this group
from anywhere you have internet connectivity. You may have to sign up
for a google account, I'm not sure - but either way it's a very easy
way to get to your favorite usenet groups.
Good luck, and lemme know if I didn't make any sense and you need help!
