Changes to Paradise Cove

I recently came across this article from the June 29 LA Times
"Reopening marks new chapter in Malibu Pier's history book" at
http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-pier29-2008jun29,0,1691155.story.

It sounds as if lots of changes are happening with new resturants,
bait shop, and other upgrades to the old pier where the Rockford Files
was shot.

I knew Jim should have held onto the lot he had his trailer on.
It's probably worth millions now!!!

Has anyone been there lately? How does it look? Is the
Sandcastle - now Bob Morris' Paradise Cove Beach Cafe - still there at
the foot of the pier?

That's the pier at Surfrider State Beach, Malibu. The first few
episodes of season one was shot there. Paradise Cove is a few miles
north, and it's pier is still storm shortened.
