I had no idea this place still existed in some form... I remember the old usenet days. from the late 90's through early 2000's.

I remember some of the meets, and giggles... the time Covert Badger and I found a theatre starring Felicity Kendal........ we walked around that a few times.

I remember Skutter, and Garth, Starbugaboo, Raul and his Tampon gun, the aforementioned Covert Badger and many others.

I watched the new Series X opener the other night... Was pleasantly surprised.

Whilst not as good as the original series 1-6, it was far superior to series 7-8... More jokes in that one episode than I found funny in all of season 7.

I refuse to acknowledge the abomination that was BtE.

So... who's around after all these years, or is this place truly dead dave.

If anyone comes across this after many years... it was Aliens.

There are still some about, but not many.

is BtE!!

Domus's chest & Val's butt!

I thought that first episode was very good. Better than series 7/8 as
you say. Possibly even getting toward the 'classic' series 1-6 in quality.
Second episode last night wasn't anywhere near as good as the first one
though.

Funny you should mention that but I have just bought the
'Back to Earth' episodes, being prompted to do so by series
10 being shown. It took me over 3½ years to get around to
it, so you can imagine I was less than impressed when I saw
them first time round. I have just watched the first episode
and it wasn't all that bad, though I do have a vague memory
that the first episode was by far the best, before they actually
went back to earth and started messing around on Coronation
Street and the like.

Well I'm still here obviously. I look in every now and again,
possibly even to post something. But I'm pretty much the last.
Garth is around too, but that's about it.

Never mind <cough>. You never used to post here on a
regular basis, lurking and cross-posts to uk.media.tv.misc
don't count :)

I haven't stopped in here in years, I can't believe it's still around! Good to see Marie Birch is still posting The Alternative Red Dwarf and that the comma key on her keyboard has not broken yet.

I haven't seen the new series yet but I'm hoping to get it for my upcoming birthday.
