How weird is this...

While sitting at your desk make clockwise circles with your RIGHT foot.

While doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your RIGHT hand.

What direction is your foot going now?

Clockwise. But then, I'm left-handed so it's odd for me to be drawing the
number 6 with my right hand anyway. In the interests of fairness, I tried
the same trick using my left-hand/right-foot - no trouble. Then my
left-hand/left-foot - trouble.

Cheers,
Ian

I'm right-handed, but always draw "6" starting at the middle and working
clockwise, so by the end my foot was still moving clockwise too. When I tried
drawing "6" from its top, my foot reversed direction. Worried now.

Is that the 1950's way of writing the number "6" ? ;-)

... you do know that in the future the kids wont even know how to write the
number "6", and will think that "0" comes after "9" not before "1".....

Due to txt-ing? They've found that kids now use their thumbs differently to
people over a certain age. They do things like unlocking bathroom door locks
with their thumbs whereas their parents use finger-and-thumb; its all due to
holding mobiles and texting with their thumbs. Adults don't tend to adapt all
their other actions the same way.
I see there are adverts now "the devil makes work for idle thumbs"! It's a
different world ;o)

Well actually I was looking at the top row of the keyboard..... anyone who
learns how to count from looking at the number pad would soon get locked
away.

Totally confused by your door locking story but then I live by myself so no
need to shut/lock any doors round here.

Preempting the next bit on this thread can we forgo the Urban Myth

Theres a Urban Myth (like that stoopid American thing about the size of
horses bums and how it affected the design of the Space Shuttle - yeah
right!!), about the "Rule of Thumb" coming from the (supposed) law that you
could beat your wife with a stick as long as the diameter of the stick was
more no than that of your thumb.

Okay, but I haven't a blimmin' clue what that Urban Myth refers to.
Luckily, a non-myth is that the length of your ring finger depends on how much
testosterone you received in the womb. If your RF is longer than your index,
you are most likely a man, and the greater the difference in length the more
active/masculine you are. If RF is shorter it means effeminacy :o) Women
normally have a shorter RF than IF, and those with longer are usually lesbians.
I didn't make this up, it was reported by numerous scientists on Radio 4's
recent morning documentary series about the hand (different aspect each week).
Check yours now!

Does it vary on the dominant hand?

I've also heard that children born by caesarian section are more
likely to be left-handed. Unfortunately I and my sister (both
left-handers) have no way of confirming if we were Caesarian sections
as we were both adopted.
