I really like the show, but I need to wake up at 6 AM the next day.
Has anyone seen a t.v. show called "Friday the 13th"?
No one seems to know what I'm talking about. The last time is aired on
UPN (Channel 50 in Chicago) was about 7-8 years ago, about the same time
"The New Twilight Zone" aired. I just want to know whether or not there
were these shows, or if I hallucinated it.

Friday The 13th is a GREAT show! :-) If you have cable, you can see it
on the SciFi Channel.
Yes, it existed. It had a man and woman team that went around trying to get
all the Cursed Artifacts that had somehow been loosed into the world.
I watched very few episodes, it didnt interest me much at all. There was
evidently some talk in the early stages of nOL that it should be in the
Friday/XFiles format: continuing characters. Luckily Pen Densham and the
others at Trilogy didn't like that idea.
NECRONOMICON, all-instrumental electronic music inspired by H.P.Lovecraft, now
available on c-60 cassette. E-mail StoOd...@aol.com for details.

Right. It existed. The premise was that an evil man (I
suppose he had sworn allgience to the Devil) owned an antique store.
Each of the antiques was cursed in it's own way and caused all sorts of
problems to the poor souls who bought them. Usually the antiquest had a
bit of a "contract with the devil" element with them. They would offer
the owner some power or boon, but of course in the end it would destroy
them. The object might grant the owner beauty, eternal youth, the
ability to read minds or something like that. I vaguely remember one
episode in which somehow the owner was able to travel to the past using
movies. If he watched an old black and white movie of the civil war, he
could step through the movie into the civil war. Seems like he was
stealing valuable objects on his travels or something. Seems like he
thought it was too teriffic a deal to give up, so in the end the object
was taken from him and he got trapped in the civil war.
After the evil antique store owner died, his young, beautiful, but
good daughter inherited the store only to discover the evil it
contained. With the help of her equally beautiful young boyfriend and
some old bearded guy, a professor or something, she and her crew hunted
down these cursed antiques, saved the unfortunate owners (usually), and
destroyed the antiques. Each week was a different antique. The show
was a low budget affair as I recall and very predictable, but
occassionally a hoot. Much of the set design depended on low lighting
so you couldn't see too much. The babe had beautiful long red hair that
drove me just short of wild. None of them could act all that well
except the old bearded guy, but they tried hard.
Is the old bearded guy, the professor guy on "Sliders"? Honestly, I don't
remember too much about the show because I was in fourth grade when the
show aired. However, my grandmother who doesn't speak English loved it,
so I had to translate for her.
Does anyone remember a show on Fox about an alien invasion, I think its
called "War of the Worlds"? The only image I remember is something that
looks like a hand with only three fingers. It was pretty gross. I wonder
if Outer Limits and X-Files are linked to these shows.
