So Jessica just gets to roam around free after kidnapping a baby and
crossing state lines? No hearing, no return trip back to St. Anne's?
Not even on an outpatient basis? Really?

Well, she is 'really' sorry she did it.

And no visit from child protective services. Bree is in the care of
someone who held people captive and planted a bomb (which went off)
and who kidnapped a baby. Someone who can turn into a different
person whenever things don't go her way. Also, Natalie and Jared
haven't had a visit from the police even though they covered up the
kidnapping (and they don't have the excuse of being "sick"). Instead,
Natalie gets praise and admiration from her father for being so
"compassionate". Even Michael and Marcie said don't worry about it.
(Hopefully we can count on Todd and Schuyler to not be so forgiving).
I had anticipated that Jess would recognize that she's not fit to be
taking care of a child, and maybe give her to Nash's parents. Jess
fractured because she was in the care of Vicki/Nicki. Nobody seems to
have any concern about Bree (what rhymes with Bree?) So, for
entertainment, once in a while Jessie will ruin lives, and there are
no legal consequences. It's absurd. A really dumb way to wrap up a
storyline.

Why would Schuyler care at all? It doesn't have anything to do with
him.

It would have been appropriate if they had at least shown her be
questioned by the police or spend a few days in St.
Anne's...SOMETHING. How do any off them know she isn't still a
danger to herself or others. She could split again and try and kill
Marcie to get the baby back. She should have at least been evaluated
by her doctors.
But I guess if you are a Buchanan in Llanview you never have to pay
for your "mistakes"

Why would Schuyler care at all? It doesn't have
anything to do with
him.

Because it led to his mother's suicide?

You can't have everything. . . where would you put
it?

Oh yeah, I forgot about his mother! Yet another awful thing Todd got
away with scot free
